I always thought the struts on the Ares looked a little too long, at least for a warship. Still, it's soooo pretty.

True...But it's still gotta low profile.

That it does. I can't really talk. My ITS Titan Wolf has long "wings."

Looks good, overall. But are the torpedo launchers supposed to angle upwards, when viewed from the front and the sides?

Just how the hull curves. I went by screen shots/wallpapers.

A very interesting transitional design. Kick-ass PB-series enginesΒ as well.

I wonder what would happen if the Ares-class was refitted (2260-2290)?

I think Kavinveldar did his version of those.

Actually, when placed alongside the FASA Anton Class, the Akira Class, and perhaps most especially 's other classic, the Luna Class, the design lineage has a lot of validity...

She's an interesting mix of TOS, ENT, and TMP.

I looked at her with a sense I was looking at a purpose-built pure warship. Those tend to have interesting idiosyncracies and broken lines not present in a non-combat vessel or especially an 'art piece' ship like my designs.
For a warship, pretty is as pretty does, and ugly is beautiful.
