Lake Hume, Australia, 24/10/14

A few weeks ago I went to my local astronomy clubs yearly star gazing camp where I was a guest speaker. On the first night the sky was reasonably clear so I set up a camera to click away doing a timelapse whilst I enjoyed hanging out with fellow amateur astronomers.
I always enjoy picking up a camera after it has been shooting on it's own, and scrolling back through all the images to see if I captured anything interesting. Apart from a couple of fish swimming back and forth on the lake edge the standout in this sequence was this bright satellite flare I managed to capture near the start of the night. The bright glow on the horizon is a large city about 20 kilometers away.
