Here she finally is. My personal character, Lhune.DOWNLOAD PLEASE
I am aware that she has changed much. Although maybe annoying for some of you, I find it quite natural. I came up with Lhune when I was 15 years old. You would not believe how much I have changed since then, as a person. Lhune simply changed with me. But, as my personality and attitude are finally starting to settle, so is her design. She may still 'suffer' from changes in the future, but I don't expect any major ones to come anymore.
A couple of random facts about her that I could not fit onto the ref sheet:
Lhune loves to 'sing'. She can shape her mouth flaps so that they help her 'howl' a tune, much like a wolf or a lion's territorial growl. However, her singing is not as monotonous. Think of it as a mix between a whale's singing and a wolf's howl. She is quite hygienic. Whenever Lhune eats something for example, she will make sure there is clear water nearby, to wash her claws and mouth with. Lhune does not much like 'unnatural colours'. She also seriously dislikes pink. Blue and green are her favourites. More may be added later.Please do not use this character to roleplay with or as one of your own. She is mine, I have put a lot of effort and care into her design and it would greatly disappoint me to see her being used by others.

Lhune is so beautiful, she gets even more stunning every time she changes! I think she really suits being a feline :3 Also, I can't count how many times you've said her current form will be the last major change...I think she's gonna keep changing as you change xD It would be fun if you compiled a page with all her forms on it, from first to last - that would be interesting! What's the longest she's been in one form? :9
Change isn't a bad thing though, and it's nice that you feel so close to your character. The thing about her is, her personality never changes - she's always got the same look in her eyes, so even if you made her into an octopus or something, she's still be Lhune! don't make her into an actopus though, that would be sorta weird.

Well it's true that she's always kept changing as I have, but I do think she's changed less and less in the past year x3.
I do have to say that now that I've done a full reference sheet of her, I have this.. "settled" feeling, like, it's done now. I won't have to change her for quite a while anymore xD. We'll see what happens :3.
I'm glad there are so many positive reactions really, I didn't quite expect that. I thought everyone was gonna go "omg yet another -.-' STOP IIIIT " but it turns out people actually like this version XD.

I like this character a lot, at least from what I can see in this pic. She's very cute and very different from the dragonesses that I have seen or drawn personally. I have to say I like the eye's and the face sections the most. The feet seem a little awkward, but then again I'm used to using more reptilian on mine.
I have a dragon character myself who must endure his own changes on a constant basis so I know what its like. I just wish I could master a tablet and a painting program so I can actually give him color and clarity like this piece does for yours. No excuse me, I'm going to lurk in your gallery and see what else you have.
Perhaps I should make a character sheet of him myself.

My dragon feet are mainly based off of canines, felines and somewhat human

Well I actually tried to the other day, much to my dismay I can't quite get what I it my way. The most recent changes have made it difficult to draw him, but the few times I did get it right I was very pleased. My intention is to emphasize more on strength and more Western than the Eastern like speed build he had at one point. Perhaps all I need is time and maybe some assistance, I'm sure I have a few sketches in my gallery if you would like to take a peek and give suggestions.

I know what it's like to want your character to look just right but you can't seem to make it so. I've been struggling with my character's design for ages and barely any of the versions I came up with really felt right. It's starting to look right though, finally

Here are probably the better ones. My main issue is getting his wings right. I have his head down rather well, but getting the wings to actually look like they would work as opposed to just slapping them on there is difficult.
I've considered getting rid of them entirely but I think one of the greatest gifts that can be bestowed upon a dragon is that of flight so I would never Rob him of that nor am I really interested in introducing magic to the equation.

Wow I expected some pointers but this is down right amazing! I don't know what to say other than thank you so much! This actually helps considerably, I'll get to work on him soon.
Hopefully I can get my scanner or tablet working so I can show you. And don't worry I would never give up on this character, that would be like giving up on myself and that would be a waste and a tragedy.

Out of curiosity, does she have any kind of back story or anything or is she just some character you made a while back that simply stuck around? It took me a while but I eventually developed a back story for Tom, took for ever to get one that stuck though.

Lhune has no back story as of yet
As a cub, Lhune and her mother were abandoned by her father (the males and females of her species only come together to reproduce, the males leave again and the females look after the cub(s)). At a couple of months old, her mother was captured and killed by humans, who felt threatened by the dragon as her hunting ground was right around their mining site. Being alone and scared, Lhune wandered off deep into the woods where she met another young dragon though slightly older than herself (Seth, another character you can find in my gallery). He took her to his clan (as his species lives in groups) where the elders decided he had to look over her. She grew up with her foster family and at having reached adulthood, she decided to live solitary again.
That was her story, really. However, it does not really suit the personality I have given her, because certain experiences cause a character to have a certain attitude. Since she is much like myself, the story just didn't suit her. Now I'm back to basically nothing again. I feel very strong for her being a guardian of sorts, but I don't really know of what and why yet.

I had a similar problem with Tom. I actually went through a few but his personality simply didn't fit and when I tried to change his personality to fit the story it just wasn't him.
Then I started thinking, he is a representation of myself why not use parts of my life for his? Changed accordingly to fit a dragon of course, but it certainly filled the gap between personality and experience and I will never have a shortage of material.
Plus I am less prone create a particular depressing tragedy or the cliche "He's the one who will save us all" story. He's just a young dragon looking for his place in the world and trying to not losing his mind in the process. (Something we all strive for I'd imagine) He isn't a hero nor is he a villain, perhaps someday he'll be one or the other but for now he's just Thomas Fyrclaw.

Lhune is not a particularly spectacular character either, really
I've thought of making up a world for her where she shares her environment with human beings, but for some reason I really don't feel that that suits her. She does not belong in a world of humans.
For now, she is simply my character. She represents me and for a large part she is me, and I feel very strong for her for some reason. If anyone 'stole' her and used her to roleplay with for example, I would be very bothered, but I also know that nobody except me would ever share the same bond with this character as I do. That means quite a lot to me

I know exactly what you mean. I don't know what I would do if some one tried to claim Tom as there own. I'm not one to anger easily but something like that would probably provoke me in the most intense way. He as much a part of me the beats are to my heart or my thoughts are to my mind.
Figuring out Tom's life was difficult, his world not so much. He moves around a lot, never staying in one place for to long so the places he can be found is where ever I feel like putting him.
I've been incorporating your suggestions in my drawings by the way. Once I get the scanner back up I'll upload them so you can see. They were of great help!

Wow. she has really changed a lot over the years! I love this design. Her streamlined beautiful cat-like body is amazingly drawn. I can only imagine what it would look like with her running real fast. =3= eye candy for meeeh. The ammount of detail and explanations make it really believeable.. Like there really could be a such creature living in our world. Overall gooorgeous reference sheet<3

It did take me quite a while to get this far xD. Considering the amount of work that it still needed, I kind of gave up on it. I still like it though so I did save it, but I certainly won't finish it anymore.
Animations always fascinate me. It just really makes a character come to life, even if it's a short one. But yeah, like yourself I guess I just lack the patience to make one xD.

Yeah! I dream about animating a flying dragon or a dancing woman.. but that's probably not gonna happen for a looong time! I can understand how animating a full cartoon movie can take several years with a lot of animators working on it.
