Description Granted it's a bit shitty, I should've spent more time on it but sadly I've reached the deadline (I only had 3 hours x_x). Obviously abused a few bark textures, but everything else is hand-painted using brushes I made myself. Funnily enough the thumbnail looks pretty good but I would recommend against full-viewing, haha.

My self-made leaf brushes are working pretty good O:. It was a nice experiment overall anyway, but if I'm ever to draw an environment again, I will start sooner and plan my process more carefully >>.

I'll probably make a tutorial on how to make your own brushes sometime, as it's really quite easy but I'd rather stick to my own brushes myself .

I think this piece is good, I like the slight roughness in the colors and shapes. And I don't get bored staring at it. The lighting is also nice. If you can improve from this, I think a ton of people would love to see that. This is really good, so something better would just be amazing!

How did you make the leaf brushes? Did you draw a random collection of leaves and then turn it into a brush? All the brushes I make myself end up looking really copy/pasted. D;

I'll explain it in a stream or quick tutorial some time . It's really quite simple. You need to mess around in the Brushes window with the different settings; if you don't change them at all you'll just get constantly the same picture in a row (the copy-pasted look you talk about).

I've tried adjusting the settings in the brushes window but none of them really do anything. The only setting that has any noticeable effect on the brush is the "scatter" option. PSE only has a few brush options. XP

Over the last year I've been noticing a LOT if improvements in how you color, use lines to convey weight, your shading has been fantastic and your environments are just popping. :3

If i had to give you a crit(even tough you didnt have alot of time ) i would say the textures flatten the tree's a bit, other then that i think you did quite well with the time you had!

Yeah I know . I was playing around with the warps and stuff but it was taking too long, and I kind of hate using textures to begin with xD.

And yeah, I picked two different thumbnails, made a few new thumbnails out of those and picked one of the new thumbs . This one seemed the most interesting to me. Thanks a lot!
