Description
A different version of the previous Colossus image. This one features his traditional ribbed body, red & yellow kit and it's been 'filmed' by Michael Bay. Ha.
I love the way Bad Boys and The Rock were shot with all those orange & brown filters so here we go.
The previous image was Lake Baikal, this one is San Francisco.

This one looks better for some reason.
But those two little gray debris kind of annoy me. You should either discard them or make them closer together, or more numerous.

Aw, hell no. I like them. They're staying. I added them in exactly. I was going to add dust in too but it was too much.

If you added a third one I think it would be better.

That's a fun part of drawing.
You get to play God, to a certain extent.

I'd rather think of it as playing 'Spielberg'. I'm a director at heart.

I feel that way sometimes. Certainly on the children's picture books. They always feel like a nice long 3 month directing gig.
You start with your publisher (producer), then your editor (executive producer) and sometimes deal with the writer to bring your version of their story into a visual medium. Only you have to be the editor, D.O.P., the casting director and production designer, and actors to a certain degree, all in one, as well.
It's ace. Best job in the world. When you get them...

That sounds sweet. Very sweet indeed.
I feel the same way about writing. I plan out everything as if it were a movie. I imagine each scene, how each character is positioned and what he is doing, be it rubbing his nose or smoking a cigarette. Then I go 'action' and write them into doing what I want them to.

I use whole sketchbooks designing some of these things. I've promised a few people I'd scan them and put them up on here before and I will do some time.
It's the most fun you can have, making up worlds etc.
