EDITChanged the preview file into the tutorial file, since people kept asking if I deleted my tutorial (which I didn't, you could get it by hitting the "Download" button on the right).
So to stop the confusion, here is the tutorial without the preview.
How to draw male eyes that is!
Since there are many differences between to male eye and the female eye, I chose to create a tutorial about the male eye only. I will do the female eye someday as well.
I'm sorry if the image is small and blurry, but I don't want people to steal this. I will publish a book sometime and I will use this tutorial as well (which is a lot bigger and clearer), so yeah... sorry once again!

I used it and it was amazing! Although I didn't get the eyebrows or the shading exactly right, it almost looks real! I hope if I practice enough it'll get better.
I hope to parade through more of your tutorials! They are really helping me with my GCSE coursework!

I am fairly good at realism myself, it's just when I see something like your art, which looks so alive, mine seems...well, flat. Your tutorials have really helped though, so I'm going to give it another try

wow this tutorial is a lot easier said then done, ive tried it several times now and i just cant get it down, its definately a hard thing to do, but i enjoy challenges so im gunna keep trying!

it depends on what kind of eye. If it's an eye like the one in this tutorial, then I would say it takes me approx 2 hours to draw a pair of eyes. But sometimes it only takes a few minutes!

Mhm, I understand. But wow, 2 hours only for the eyes, you're so patient! But I guess this is the only way to draw as beautiful as you do

Just a quick question -
I tried this, and I couldn't get the shading as smooth as you did. Did you use anything to smudge/blend, or did you just use a pencil?

Thanks, glad you think it's useful!
For this drawing I use a finger to blend, but these days I'm totally against finger blending so I use tissue and tortillions (blending sticks made of paper)

You should make a tutorial on eyelashes only. That seems to be where my eyes always start to look like crap is as the eyelashes lol.

I have a question ^.^ : I am able to draw an eye , the only problem i have is my eyes look dead they have no life in them , and i am not able to make them "Look at some one " so to speak.
Any thoughts?
