So I was asked to make a tutorial for Nepeta horns.With that I did my best to explain how I made them...though clearly I feel like I have failed at it.
So I'm sorry if I have and that if didn't work or help out.
The Nepeta horns have been claimed.
Though if you wish to have some you can still note me and we can see what we can do.

I was wondering If the horns start cracking and you just paint them over like you did. Will the continue cracking or stop?

It should stop cracking, unless you are always taking them off or putting them back on by the horns. But I haven't had any other problems with them once I had put paint in the cracks and continued to paint over them.

how long does it take for the clay to dry?

For me it takes around 4-5 days just to be safe. It will dry on the outside first but the inner will still be moldable so it will be hard to put them on a headband. So 4-5 days should work, if not go a day or so longer to be safe.

I know this was a Nepeta tutorial, but I couldn't help but notice that you said you did Gamzee's horns. Would you mind passing down some tips to a future Gamzee cosplayer???????? Or do you have a link to a Gamzee horn tutorial on your page????????

Ah I can make a tutorial for Gamzee. It will be a few days before I would put it up on here, due to drying and painting. If you won't mind waiting maybe a week or less for that. When will you be doing Gamzee if I may ask~

1) What kind of head8and would you recommend if you want it 8lend in with the hair????????
2) I'm using the actual hair growing from my scalp, would you recommend I do so I can hide the head8and well????????

Alright, the headband isn't all to hard actually. I normally get a smooth headband for the bigger/longer horns. But then again I use a wig since my hair is short and wouldn't really work for any of them other then Tavros. So I will say you should get a braided headband so it will look more natural than a smooth shinny one. And also to cover that if you don't like how it looks you could get those fake hair things and cover the headband with that once it is on. But for the Gamzee tutorial I will go and get a braided headband and see if the horns and the glue I use will work with it.

I see now. 8r8ided head8and 8ecause it's my natural hair. And it still has to 8e two inches wide.

Yeah they should have them in one of those places.
And yeah, unless you spray up your hair with a lot of hairspray you should be fine with hiding the headband.
And yes I'm talking about those if you are still worried about showing the headband.
They should help a bit to hide it and all.

My hair is naturally curly and coarse, I could tease it as best as I could that way. But if I get my hair done curled up then tease it up (experimentation, they tell me), then I should be find but my friend said she'll bring some hair products for the ride to the con so she can spray it in.
Then I need to get some more acrylics for when I run out of sopor pie. We're gonna be there for a while and I'm bound to run out of slime so I'll just go to a bathroom, screw up my makeup and put some purple acrylic across my face and call myself 'sober'.

So my con has 8een moved up to January 8ecause of transport8ion issues. Not to mention, this Jan. one is not so far AND I can invite local friends. The only thing a8out this is I have more time to m8ke a proper prop, instead of JUST m8king sopor slime and cleaning the whole F8ygo section out. I think I might m8ke juggling clu8s, any tips on that????????

No, it's no pro8lem. It gives me a chance to 8ring my friends with the one in Jan. If I went to the one for this weekend (Dec. 21- 23), I'd pro8a8ly get caught up in the Christmas traffic on the way there and 8ack. Not to mention, I'd 8e in unfamiliar territory with only 5 friends. Why not go with all of them locally????????
Then for the one in the l8 summer, I will either go as:
1) Marquise Mindfang (8ut I have no chest whatsoever so this will 8e quite the task)
2) Vriska Serket (The arm is what will kill me 8ut I hope to go out as Vriska 8efore she lost her arm and eye)
3) Her Imperious Condescension (I'm not encouraged to do this, seeing as I'll have difficulty going through doors and 8ecause of my experience level)
4) Meenah Peixes (All I have to worry a8out is the 8raids, 8racelets, and the 2x3dent)
5) Kurloz Makara or Femzee
6) Sollux Captor (I think all I'll need is a chest 8inder and a lisp)
7) Latula or Terezi (8ut they warned me a8out going out as Latula 8ecause they won't let me sk8-8oard in the place, not that I can)
8) Fem!Equius Zahhak or Equia Zahhak
9) Mituna Captor

Oh no..well kinda. I got back from a cosplay meet and I was Dave. I didn't want to change so I stayed in the outfit and began making Nepeta horns for the Tutorial everyone was asking for.

would these work with different colors of model magic? i made these horns for myself, and my brother wants some troll horns, as well. but i've used all my white model magic, and i have different colors of it.
would if matter if it was with black model magic?

I don't see why not. You may just need a lot more layers of paint. But it should be fine with any color.

Oh this should work for Kanaya. I will also be having a Vriska tutorial soon once the horns dry. They are basically the same height and may help just a little bit more then this one. But most of this is the same making as most of the horns.
