* EDIT: I don't care if you'd have rather me said "SWEARING" or "CURSING" instead of "CUSSING", I've grown used to calling it CUSSING and I don't give a flying fuck how "childish" it sounds.So, here's the thing. It actually depends with me.
When you're having a debate and you wanna sound intelligent, I wouldn't overdo the cussing. But frankly, if you're having a debate with a complete idiot, I wouldn't blame you for not being able to control your mouth.
Same goes for when I get angry or upset. I tend to let loose on the language.
But honestly. If someone can't handle a few bad words (I just think it's funny when I go to a stamp and people baww in the comments about "I LUV UR STAMP BUT I WISH U CUSSED A LITTLE LESS
"), then your place isn't here. On the wonderful world of the internet, ESPECIALLY places like deviantart where you're fucking allowed to, you should grow some thicker skin or find your place on Club Penguin, or God forbid, Roblox. Not here.
Not to mention, you can't exactly tell someone what to do in regards to how they talk, especially when it's not against the rules. I agree, cussing a LOT does make someone look like an idiot, but sometimes, when it comes to some issues, I don't blame people for exploding in a flurry of "FUCK"s and "GODDAMMIT"s.

I made an anti-bestiality stamp once, and somebody literally commented saying that they also hate bestiality and agree that it's sick and twisted, but said my cussing in the artist's description of the stamp was worse than bestiality, itself. Yes. Cussing is illegal for that very reason, right ?

Well, it makes you sound uncivilized and it's considered impolite, although it is becoming more and more common. I personally don't see why people do it so often, as there are many words in the English language, so why would they take words designed to offend people and incorporate it into their everyday language?
People sometimes think that profanity is okay to use because they hear it so often and they think that since other people do it, it must be cool to jump on the bandwagon and do it too. I mean, although there are worse things than it, it is still wrong because although common, these words have offensive meanings that most people take too lightly. What you say may be taken lightly, but it translates to a much more offensive meaning if you look at what these words really mean. Telling people to "get off the Internet" won't really solve anything, as people who think that swearing is wrong will still have to use it, but rather addressing the problem and trying to solve it.
Sorry to sound childish, but this is how I feel about swearing personally.

Regardless of the meaning that we have put with cussing, they're still just sounds. They have no meaning. In fact, nothing of what I just wrote truly has any meaning at all. We put meaning in them to facilitate communications. And I don't think you sound childish.

IKR, take for me for instance, I'm a guy that cusses like a trillion times a day and I really don't care and I see any strong or foul language, I really don't give a crap, it's just a word. Getting in trouble just saying a foul word, especially at school, that's just bullshit, why do you think we have the 1st amendment (United States) in the 1st place? Yeah, I made a thing called Swear Club 4 Kids: Cuss at School 2013. It's to cuss at school to protest not being allowed to cuss at school.
Not being allowed to cuss at school isn't even kidifying, they call it immature for a reason, it's the shitty raisin-adults who hate it.

What gets me is that if it's "immature" then why the fuck aren't little kids allowed to say it UNTIL they're mature? DERP, DERP, PEOPLE.
Though I can definately agree that it's not the best way to say, make a professional debate or something of that sort. Everywhere else though, everyone can just get the fuck over it or leave. People need to seriously get their heads out of their asses. I cuss on a minute-ly (not even daily BY-THE-MINUTE) basis and looky that, the world's not ending, and I'm still a successful, happy person (just graduated college, and guess what? If people are complaining about cussing, it's either because they're too young to be roaming the internet unsupervised or their just way too sensitive about things and should get over it. People on the internet aren't obligated to do anything, and they especially don't have to accommodate to anyone just because their swearing makes somebody feel uncomfortable.
I hardly even notice swear words anymore unless they're censored. Censoring a word honestly makes it look worse than it is...

While it shows you are EXTREMELY immature to swear/cuss because people use it to sound mature i agree with the stamp. How ever people could make a freaking effort to stop cussing/swearing where they think children would be active. Or at least use the stars (*) to censor it. There's no reason for kids not to hear it. My little sisters (7 and 9) and about half the kids in my town (who mostly have uptight parents) cuss. And how is it immature if it's bad for kids to hear it?

the only thing I don't like about people who cuss is it's not impressive when they use it with every other word. I just don't understand people trying to get you to stop! I mean, what difference does it make? I swear when the situation calls for it or whenever I want to!! But I know when to hold my tongue as well. Like, say, with my Grandma? I'm very aware of it. For instance, when my friends and I go out and we're usually "cussing like sailors", but we always stop if there are little kids or elderly people nearby cause it's rude. So y'know, just be able to control yourself and everything's alright. No reason to stop altogether, right?
