This... is... SPACE ART !My journey is long enough, now I can share my experience. Here's my guide for all these, who are just starting own journey with space art and for all these, who are wanting to improve their workshop.
The guide contains 12 parts:
1. Introduce,
2. Basic planet's texture,
3. Planet's texture from stocks,
4. Planet's shadow,
5. Planet's atmosphere,
6. Starfield,
7. Nebula,
8. Asteroids,
9. Light trail or comet,
10. Rings or galaxy,
11. Star's close up view (or just "sun"
),12. Preview.
All elements, which you can made with this tutorial, you can see on preview. You can make with this guide a space scene like this above. I have used only elements made during this tutorial.
Sorry, if something is missed and for all errors. I tried to be enough patient and what was wrong, is corrected, but you can't be always sure, that everything is just perfect.
I don't know what else to say. Just download my guide and practise, but please, read Introduce first

Brilliant tutorial! I used it on my Doctor Who painting - nowhere near as schmick as you make them, but gosh it was fun to learn and play!

You probably don't have a program installed that would allow you to extrac a RAR archive. Maybe give this one a try: UnrarX .
I don't use Macs, but based on the description I'm fairly sure you should be able to download the file from here, then extract its contents (using the before mentioned software) and view them. Hope it helps.
