I think the shadow is the most intriguing part! It's good to keep in mind that light is shining through as well.

oh - this does look like honey!  Faceting is more traditional for gems but I can easily see the same techniques apply - thanks for sharing!

hm, looks moer like a liquid then a  solid. thought  this how to draw a bead of liquid such as honey.
