Personality -
[ Awkward | Big brother | Antisocial | Stoic | Fierce temper | Caring | Worry wart | Loyal | A fighter ]Alex might act like an objective, strong leader but he's really awkward and shy inside. He gets flustered pretty easily and when he's really at ease with a person he lets his hard shell drop and his true dorkyness shows. He's a very strict and a mean older brother, if you try to mess with his sister or try to chat her up or mess with anyone at the camp, he will make your life hell or go off on you, you have to go through him before you get to do anything with Anne.
He tends to avoid social interaction but he's working on this trait, Anne is slowly getting him out of that hard stoic emotionless shell. He'd much rather spend his days curled up in a sheltered spot and just read up on things or daydream.
He's stoic as mentioned, he doesn't like it when his emotions are out for the world to see, he tends to bottle up his true feelings and tries to come across as someone who's in charge of his emotions.
He's got quite the temper, mess with his sister, the camp, a friend or someone close to him and he will show you some emotion. He's actually quite caring, he cares deeply for those around him, even those he seems to dislike sometimes. You really know he cares when he flashes one of his half smiles when he thinks no one's looking around you.
He's a worry wart sometimes, he worries about the camp, those around him, about others who might risk those close to him ect. He's extremely loyal to those he considers friends and would risk his own life for theirs if it came down to it. He's a fighter, he won't go down without putting up a decent fight first, he doesn't believe in giving up when those he loves are at risk. (he's a Griffindor at heart)Biography -
Anne and Alex were conceived in a lab using the sperm of a male whitecoat donor and the eggs of a female whitecoat who allowed the experiments to be grown in her womb like any other baby. They grew and developed tiny baby wings along with arms and legs like any other baby would but as the last trimester neared something else developed, Anne's ability to make fire. This caused their mother quite some problems and she developed a high fever. She asked for the experiment to be terminated but the head whitecoat at the school refused and ordered the experiment to continue.
It did and the last few weeks were hell for the whitecoat mother, she was eventually placed in a medically educed coma of which she didn't wake. The experiments were born, first a baby bird boy, burns covering his arms, legs and back, but otherwise perfectly healthy, then 10 minutes later his sister joined, healthy and already giving her handlers problems.
They were placed under the care of a whitecoat called Emily Connery who 'raised' them so to speak in captivity. She taught them everything the school permitted as well as some extra life lessons here and there, they liked her more than any of the other whitecoats and she became like a mother to them.
When the twins turned 8, Emily finally decided to free them and escape the school. She asked her then boyfriend, Ben Parker to join them, without mentioning that the two red haired kids were his, but he declined, stating he could help the kids more if he stayed.
So the 3 escaped. Emily took the kids away and they lived in a cabin in Washington for the rest of their time together, the cabin was in the woods and they were safe from any threat, there Emily taught them more skills they could need to survive, Alex took a liking to building bombs and using firearms and Anne enjoyed playing around on Emily's laptop.
One day Anne poked too carelessly into the school's business, the twins were 13 at the time, and their laptop was traced, the school showed up and came for the kids. Emily hid them and tried to distract the Erasers so that Anne and Alex could escape, but as the twins escaped, Emily was killed. Anne tried turning back for their mother but it was too late, a bomb detonated in the small cabin and it exploded, killing and or injuring the remaining Erasers. The twins escaped and kept on the run for the rest of their time.
When they were around 15/16 years old they tried to contact their 'father' so to speak and eventually found him. They told him of Emily's death and the man actually cried. He had climbed the ranks as a whitecoat through the years and had been helping mutants escape from inside, but he felt there was more he could do to help. Dr Parker decided to help by creating a camp for kids who had escaped and so he asked his son, Alex, to run it along with 4 other, older, mutants he trusted for the task. And so began their time at Mutant Refuge.Extra -
-he is deathly afraid of frogs… once in the school just to freak him out they locked him in a room with frogs, he’s even wary of frog mutants.
-he lives off of popcorn and coke, he’s also a big fan of seed bars(it’s like a bar made out of a lot of bird seeds covered in honey, it’s actually very delicious)
-he can read lips.
-he loves being alone, but he hates not knowing if his sister is okay.
-fast and sudden movement freak him out a little
-he can build and dismantle bombs and some small hand guns
-he likes to learn.
-he’s usually oblivious to other’s feelings towards him.
