During this past summer I've really gotten into the Getter Robo franchise, having watched the three OVA series and recently started with the manga stuff. I thought I should try doing some fanart of it, and here's the result.This is the original Getter 1, piloted by Ryoma Nagare, one of the most awesome mecha pilots of all time. I mean sreiously, this is a guy who crushes dinosaur skulls with his own freakin hands! [link]

Thank you very much. ^^ I think this was actually one of the very first pieces of Getter fanart I did when I first discovered the series last year. I'm currently working on some new ones and I'd like to think that I've managed to improve quite a bit since then.

while this is an impressive, down right great illustration (i do love Getter robo), i always perfeared Mazinger Z over him. I dont know, the cap just seemed to be such a weird thing for them to draw on him. Oh well i have the 3 getter robo movies, kinda want to watch them now too

I really like the Mazinger stuff as well. I've seen Mazinkaiser and have recently started watching the new Mazinger Z remake. The opening alone is pure awesome! That Hironobu Kageyama sure knows how to make theme songs that gets your blood boiling.

There are some really cool Getters out there, such as Getter Robo ZOH (SP). A alternate story about the dinosaurs and humans teaming against the invaders, creating a half biological Getter Robo that has a berserk beast like mode, very cool stuff.
