Description
I don't know if I'm qualified to call this a tutorial or not, but this is how I start most of my Transformer pics. People have asked me how I do it and I'm flattered they did (Hope I don't dissappoint anyone). This one in particular is going to be a fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron. I start off with real loose sketching trying to get body positions to look right and alternate between stick figures and what I call bubble figures ('cause they look like they're made up of bubbles (: ). If there's a name for it I do not know. They all look humanoid at first, fun stuff comes later. I'll make another one that lays out how i start the refined pencils of the final pose I decide to go with. If this helps just one person I'll be happy, 'cause I too admit I have much to learn.Related content

This is great! However, I'd love to see more detail on how to do the post-humanoid fun stuff. The poses and bubble figures I can do, it's the mechanical stuff that gives me the most trouble.

Cool. The Transformer part is next and easier than you think.

Yeah right. Not like you need it. You've moved past me I think.

I think I do need it. I have many issues yet, I do not have your fluidity and whatnot.
