Description I just noticed that the most popular of my deviations seems to be the Doctor Who: The Forgotten #2 cover. On that cover I had to create something to go into the background because Nick Roche had left it blank. So I created a design using Gallifreyian symbols from the show.

I didn't choose the symbols at random. If you're a big enough geek, like me, you'll know what the primary symbols on this represents. And I arranged them in a way that actually means something in relation to the story. Though, so far, I don't think anyone has noticed.

Anyways, here's the background, shown for the first time unobstructed by the figures.

I know the Seal of Rasilon, but, though I recognize the others, I don't know what they mean. Is there anyway to learn Galfrian? Like how Klingon is a compleat language? Could I learn to write in Galfrian?

No, there's noway to learn Gallifreyian and I doubt there ever will be. I think its meant to be a very complicated language that is too much for humans to understand, which is why the TARDIS doesn't translate it for the Humans. Or thats how I see it.

However, there are a few symbols that have been explained. The Seal of Rassilon is obvious. The symbol to its left was established at the end of series 3 and was explained further in the concept art section on the official DW website. The ones on the bottom are the base symbols of the symbols that are used in the new series of DW novels.

I always saw it as, she doesn't need too translate becuase the two most important people, her and the Doctor, speak and read it, so she doesn't think that humans need to be able to read it. Becuase in 'The Parting of the Ways' (last eppisode of Series 1) Rose can read the display moniter when the Doctor asks her what it says.

Aw, that's too bad, I would have loved to learn. When was that symbol explained? What does it mean? I don't remember.

Yes, but if I remember correctly all Rose was reading off were numbers. I think simple numbers aren't too complicated that that can't be translated.
But to be honest with you, I think we fans analyze stuff like that more than the writers do...
