"Okay, okay, alright!! I'll let you have two more years!! Five!! TEN!! Oh please, I'll give you another chance, just STOP DOING THAHAHAT~!!"I was still in middle school when I finally had access to Cartoon Network in my own home. Oh sure, I came to love the classic Cartoon Cartoons, but it wasn't long before I found out about Adult Swim, particularly, the precursor to modern day Toonami: Action Saturdays. Out of all the anime they aired those nights, I came to really enjoy Yu Yu Hakusho. I tried to sing along to the theme song (you can butcher it even further than the dub, believe it or not), I even thought I could train myself to use Yusuke's signature Spirit Gun. But I don't believe I ever drew Botan, the series famous self-proclaimed "Grim Reaper". I don't know why it never occurred to me to draw one of my biggest anime crushes back then. I especially would have killed to see her in a situation just like this one. And then I realized, there was literally nothing stopping me from doing that. This is pure self-indulgence dating back fourteen years ago. Half my life, now! And wow, was it a blast!!
So now, folks, I leave you with some words of wisdom: if you unexpectedly find yourself among the dearly departed, and this sweet little Grim Reaper tries to carry your spirit away to the afterlife, just remember...
She's deathly ticklish.

Cool pic. She looks very nice. I haven't watched yu Yu Hakusho, but it does seem like an anime I could enjoy since I am a huge fan of animes like Inuyasha, too.

I never could keep up with it. I thought it had an interesting plot waiting to be unraveled, but like every shounen anime, it found its way into a tournament arc... And I just got so bored. Thankfully we got to see quite a bit of Botan, she was one of the main reasons I tried to continue watching! Thanks for commenting!

Despite me having read for the first time this manga not long ago, I got a liking to Botan, a cutie that deserves more attention. Which I'm glad you did in this fantastic picture: anything of it spew adorableness. From the perspective, her body language to her expression.

Magnificent colors, and the background is just stunning.
Nice use of lightning to keep Botan's blue hair from blending into the blue sky.

Those are the kinds of sandals and socks that slip right off. I know I'd be tempted to bargain for my life in much the same fashion! But the spirit gun would also be pretty sick to have as my own! I really appreciate the comments on the background, as well! This is one of the few pictures I've worked on from start to finish where the original vision came out exactly as I intended by the end

This was a complete and unexpected surprise. And again your coloring just feels so damn comforting. Botan here has never been cuter and I'm glad to see you coming up with someone that I think most of our generation would have loved to see in such a position. Admittedly I like her other outfits a lot, but there's something with the cute pink kimono that always makes it sweet to see.

First impressions, my friend! Botan's pink kimono is what all the spirits see when she first greets them. It just made sense to see her wearing it here! Although I guess this fellow decided she looked best without her sandals and socks!! Her other outfits were so very 80's, it's kinda funny to look back on these days. Even though it came out in the 90's! I had a lot of fun with this one, and I'm so glad to see there were others like me who wanted to see this just as well. This is super adorable. The expression Botan has while being tickled is really fitting and looks like it could be in the series. You integrated her into your art style very nicely. The theme song also popped in my head when I was looking at this, and I couldn't help reading the little excerpt in Botan's dub voice.
