Ok, so I guess my problem is that the colors are not staying the same when I set them to multiply. They are changing to a mixture and I can't manipulate them back to the color I wanted. Can you help with this?

Ok, I must be retarded here. I use the magic wand tool and select things but for my new layers with the other colors on multiply, it doesn't make the glass texture. It just colors over it or looses the color. I just don't understand what is going wrong. I've been at this for hours. My layers look just like yours.

There are hardly any tutorials on DA on how to create digital stained glass. This is a good one! I will have to give this a whirl (transcribing it to Gimp). I'll post a link when it's done.

but i do paint stained glass art..

With this I have made my first ever attempt at photoshop beyond my media class-- and given this media unit has mostly been about composing ads, colouring was a wholly new experience.

This is really cool, I was thinking about doing some digital stained glass just yesterday.
another point... looking at reference is also a good thing, there are some amazing stained glass windows that have colors that change in one panel due to the amazing skill of the glass painter, who works two hot colors together to get a nice smooth blend.
