Description      So this is the product of having conducted a bunch of critiques on the forums. I got to talk to lots of great people and saw a variety of styles and levels of skill. All in all though there were some things I seemed to always be bringing up. I wont be going into any specific part in depth but you I welcome questions in the comments! Anyways this is an overview that should touch the recurring problems. It also serves to show just HOW I work.

I was originally gonna drop this in parts but I decided since part 1 was so short, I'd just drop em both together. The image Im working on is for a Poster advertising a contest that 13 Bricks is holding. We want to get involved with more local artists here in savannah and figure this is a pretty good way to reach out. Tomorrow I'll be doing refined sketches and getting into inking. I won't promise that part 3 will go up that same night though just because It depends on how far I get.

So the image is actually pretty dang big. haha sorry I got carried away. Still I promise it won't take as long to read as it did to make and its got lots of good stuff.

:EDIT:

So talking with Digitalripple about this inspired to show his OWN process! You can check that out here , its accompanied by a short video that's worth checking out.

Pt 3   Pt 4

Oh, it's up already ahaha

This is really awesome. You really know how to compose the text into the piece and it was very inspiring.

thanks alot, graphic design isn't my strong point but I've been trying to improve lately. Im worried that it might be too wordy but at the same time I don't want to be skimpy with info.

Man, I need to get back into making thumbnails and putting together a composition before I start making the piece..

We draw mostly the same to start off though - general shapes that are refined over time.
