Thanks. It took a bit of time to make. If you go to my gallery and look at the red one you can see it at its full resolution.

good golly! I would buy this rug to have in my home . . . I especially love the natural elements - all traditional rugs these days are so abstract and formal. This is beautifully free-flowing, intricate and interesting. And quite calming, considering how detailed it is. Great job!

my one negitive comment is very simple. I can't this rug in real life, and that makes me very very sad. I think I like the blue tones better then the red or any of the others, but you already know what I think of the image itself. I've considered buying a print, but it's just not the same if you can't feel that wonderful texture under your bare feet...which I think would be a BAD idea with a print ;D

Excellent work! I am astonished at the level of detail, what tools did you use in Photoshop? Is it a drawing like with a WACOM?

I did this in Photoshop. I wrote a tutorial on the method I used to create the shapes here: [link]

Thank you for that incredible comment. Honestly, I was not expecting any comment on this as it is an identical design to a deviant I already submitted with different colors. I was just trying to get a blue print available. I am really glad you like this, because I don't really have the time to make art any more.

In studying rug designs I was unable to differentiate some Turkish, Iranian, and Afghan designs. The only designs that always stuck out as amazingly unique and heavily repeated were the spiraled Isfahan and Tabriz. I feel quite honored that people from regions where rug design is a traditional art find my design to look authentic. There is no greater honor that I can expect from this design.
Out of curiosity how did you find my rug deviation?

You probably have seen this before. I submitted an identical design before with different colors. I wanted a blue rug to set for a print image, so I had to submit another deviation. Thank you for your comment.
