Celebrating the end of my read-through through all current volumes with a little piece of parody fanart. The following is entirely my own subjective opinion:

I really do enjoy the series. I admire that Nakamura-san takes helluva time to develop her characters. I am always so happy when we get to moments where the characters show behaviour, attitude, growth you don't find so often in mainstream shojo.

This silly doodle here - ok, you might hear a small disappointed mew that after a while, that after Skip Beat's strong, strong, vibrant beginning, certain slightly annoying tropes still walked in. Imho we went overall somewhat a little downhill around the time Vie ghoul entered the picture. Though I guess I am unfairly expecting too much - is there any series, especiall long ones, that is able to avoid any subpar tropes? If so, feel free to tell me.
