I -love- Patrick Sueskind's work. Most people know him through his worldwide bestseller "Perfume: The story of a murderer", but this here is fanart for his play "The double bass". It's a very popular contemporary play in Germany.

I gave the nameless protagonist a bit of a happy end - that is supposed to be Sarah on the right. Maybe they just do a regular performance, maybe there is a lot more behind it (maybe triggered by the hero's big scream in the orchestra pit?) - you can decide.

I tried to make the main character look like he does on the book cover of the German edition. Personally I think he is summa summarum a decent guy, if I were in Sarah's shoes I would at least have a coffee with him.
