I still don't understand? I need to stop the breasts and part of my base's forearm from showing and I'm using PMX editor. Do I just click on them or what? I don't want to mess it up but I don't understand how to do it

The Ctrl+S option is always grey for me. (I use PMX) Do you have any solutions?
Edit: Nevermind! I found the solution!

Can you tell me what the solution is? I've had the same problem but can't seem to fix it.

Alright. So you know the option where you can hide different parts of the model?(The second one circled pointed to the list in the second panel. We'll call that the Mask option for now) Well, the Ctrl+S option only when there is only one thing selected. If you want to delete a part, you can only delete it if it's the only part selected in the Mask option.
I feel like that doesn't make a lot of sense, so I'll give an example. If you want to delete a part of the body, go to the Mask option and select the box that probably has 'body' next to it. Click that, and make sure it is the ONLY thing selected. It won't work if anything else is selected in the Mask option. Make sure 'body' is the ONLY thing checkmarked. Once you're on the 'body', select the part you want to delete, then do the Ctrl+S thing.
On my version of PMX, after I Split the mesh, the last box always becomes visible again, so if you have the problem of not being able to do Ctrl+S again, you might just want to scroll down the Mask option and un-check anything that is.

I'm sorry I'm new to PMXe but how do you delete/add parts of a model? My America has headphones and I sort of want them gone

Sorry for the late reply ;.; You find the pieces of the headphone by checking the boxes as shown in the fourth picture and simply click ctrl+P

I have everything needed to open this, I found the requirements page, but I still can't open models. I click "F", then "O", but nothing happens when I click it. ;-; I only need PMX editor to make a PMX to PMD conversion.

If your program still isn't working properly, go into the folders for your version of pmd/pmx editor, find the folder named "plugin" and then open the folder named "launcher." Then, right click on the DLL plugin file (it should be the only file), and go to properties. Click "unblock", "apply" and then hit "OK". That should fix it!!! :3

Well, I looked at the requirements page as well but it still didn't work. The funny thing is that that's the only version that works for me.
You usually won't be able to make the conversion if the model has too many vertices. But if you want, I can do that for you

this may be the stupidest question you've seen on the comments... but how do you get it to work with pmx models? Idk why but I guess the one I have only works with pmd.

Maybe you can help me and my friend figure out why she can't get pmx editor to run. She says it displays a popup with japanese text and only displays the main window and not the viewing window when she tries to open it.

There is a way to open up the viewing window manually. When you get the main screen opened, there should be options written in Japanese with English letters in brackets. Choose the option with the (v) then (s).
If you can't open it up manually then do the following:-
ok,so first make sure that you have these installed on you computer NET Framework4.0, DirectX runtime and
Visual C + + redistributable package 2010 SlimDX.
What system runs on your friend's computer? (badly phrased question. What I mean is does your friend have a mac, windows xp ect.)
Could you, like, show me exactly what the pop-up says?

Also the computer is her new laptop, she just got the other day so it's Windows 7, I'm pretty sure. She got it for MMD/PMD/PMX use mainly so it does have good graphics.

I'll see if I can get a screenshot from her if this doesn't work.
