When you Pokemon GO hard because it distracts you from your crippling depression-- hEYYY GAIS how y'all doin' long time no see have some non-DGM art I have never drawn Pokemon before but it was fun

My Haunter is actually larger than this (like, obnoxiously so) bUT I TRIED HAHA;;;
I was actually only gonna draw Haunter with me but then I saw tutti-fruppy 's lovely Pokemon team drawings and WOW I wanted to try my full team after seeing those! (She's doing commishes for them btw, def check her out!!)

Team Displayed (in order of being caught):
Calypso (Vaporeon)
Mischevious lil bugger, smaller than the average 3 feet and a lil darker in color palette. Caught as an Eevee when she tried to get into my bag for snacks. Evolved into a Vaporeon when she got into someone else's bag and brushed up against a Water Stone. Dubbed Calypso for her troublesome and mischevious nature. Likes to lay (sprawl) on Trident. Affectionate. Mess with the Team and she will fite u.
Trident (Vaporeon)
Tall, long, and beau. Was bred to participate in contests, but his raspy and crackly voice got him traded away to a Pokemon Trainer. He enjoyed battling, but the Pokemon Trainer ended up Releasing him due to his perceived laziness when it came to training. He hung out by a lake for about a year before Calypso and I stumbled on him; and after kicking Calypso's butt in a battle (and some persuasion on my part) he decided to join the team so he could battle regularly again. Very chill, high tolerance-level. Doesn't "talk" much due to his broken voice. I trip over his tail a lot :<
Buddy (Bulbasaur)
Literal cinammon roll, smol and glue of the team. Befriends literally everyone (even if one-sided). Loves flowers, berries, and lullabies. Used to live in a park's flower bed. Came across us training one day and saw me rewarding Calypso and Trident with berries. Waltzed on over for some berries too and decided to stick around after being offered a spot. Gets along really well with Outis, somehow, and often plays tag and hide-n-seek with the Haunter; also chastises him when he misbehaves.
Janis (Exeggute)
Caught by accident when aiming for a Pidgey (oops). Helpful nature, loves to be of assistance with the use of Psychic. Was a friend of Buddy's before either of them joined the Team, and Buddy helped him get comfortable as being a part of it. Keeps an eye on Outis for when the ghost/poison-type misbehaves too much, and watches over Buddy when the Bulbasaur falls asleep while sunbathing. somtimes I carry him in mah hat
Xerxes (Pidgeotto)
Acts like the dad of the Team, despite being younger than both Trident and Outis. Literally antagonized me into catching him after I tried to give up bc I was wasting so many friggin' Pokeballs on his stubborn ass. Too serious. Territorial and takes a while to warm up to new Team members (read: Outis) and people. Calypso drives him nuts bc she'll team up with Outis to scare the piss outta him. Color blind.
Outis (Haunter)
LITERALLY OVER 7 FEET TALL. XL in both height and weight jfc this pic doesn't even do him justice. While he was a Gastly he was living in some really dark woods, carrying on the memories of a deceased child who had gotten injured and left behind by his friends when they went to get help, but they never came back and he died. Gastly would scare any children that got lost in the woods, eventually terrifying them into running out. So of course when Buddy got lost in the woods Outis tried to scare him-- only to get beamed in the face by my Pokeball. Fun times.
My Exeggute is actually an Exeggutor and has been one for a while, same with my Pidgeotto being a Pidgeot, but for the sake of team aesthetic and story building they are not fully evolved here.

I have another team which consists of Pandora (my first Vaporeon), Fifi (Flareon), and Tesla (Jolteon). Fifi is in rotation for the team depicted here since I don't battle Gyms with Buddy. Tesla needs training again though, and Pandora had a bad accident against a Nidoking so she's no longer battling :<
