Second entry for my 30 Day Challenge!Poor Trigger. He's in deep deep trouble right here. Liske are considered destructive vermin in several sectors because of their habit of sucking power from things and chewing on wires.
One method of defense is to charge their body with electricity so anything that touches them will get shocked. They can also send out a blast of electricity that can stun predators, but they can only do that once before having to recharge and it weakens them a great deal.

What kind of creature is that, besides a terrified one? I haven't seen anything like it, but it *looks* a bit like a cross between a platypus and a rat to me, with pieces of a duck in there, somewhere.
This surely is one peculiar creature, that's certain!

He's a creature called a liske. And they are known for syphoning electricity off spaceships and so are considered vermin.

It took me awfully long time to figure out why does Trigger remind me of a fox. Now it finally hit me. It's not his looks or anything but the fact that the word 'Liske' sounds almost exactly like czech "liška" which means "fox". Dunno why it took so long.
Anyway, brilliant picture as always!

It's kinda difficult to even think about Trigger being this scared; he's usually happy-go-lucky and childishly playful....

He is usually curious and playful. But he can get really scared if something is chasing him.

He seems to lose his anthropomorphic qualities when he's scared, going into full-on cornered animal mode.

Originally they do but no one knows where it is. They have hitchhiked on ships and space stations for thousands of years and who knows if they still exist there.

He probably calmed Trigger down enough that Trigger's shock didn't flatten him, but knowing Rover, he didn't get that little guy quite calm enough before grabbing him, so Rover probably ended up with his arm shorting out or something.

He'd probably go running back to Flyspur babbling about his new pet and his hair would all be on end.
I'd love to see Rover's expression in this scene. Probably look something like when we leaped around the corner of the barn, ready to shoot coons, and came face to face with five baby raccoons. (They got relocated, along with their mom.)
