Description Handle Wrapping Technique: Level 2 (Cloth Tape)

Did you know the last time I uploaded the Handle Wrapping Level 1 tutorial that was from February 7?!! heh I even said I will soon upload the higher difficulties of handle wrapping soon. Well it took me long enough but I have all tutorials on handle wrapping done now. Talking about this one using cloth tape, it will take no more then 1 minutes which is easily the quickest way to wrap a sword if in some kind of rush lol

Hey, can u tell me again how u did the texture on the handle? you said it is paper? wat kind?

I'm making some swords for a production, so would like to add texture to the handles of the sword.

chioky In reply to tkyzgallery [2009-01-22 08:15:18 +0000 UTC]

Go through my gallery and look for the tutorial "speed swordmaking: tsuka" or handles and you will find the information you see

xRealitySandwichx [2008-11-30 16:53:44 +0000 UTC]

The Tsukamaki I learned was much different
I used the twisting method here, but with regular ribbon, and I twisted both end of the ribbon and crossed them over. Whenever i turned the sword over, i clipped down my last cross so it wouldn't move.
I'm going to try the level 3... it looks like it will take much less time than my method

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chioky In reply to xRealitySandwichx [2008-11-30 19:40:55 +0000 UTC]

its hard to imagine doing this method with ribbon lol, its like handling water without a cup lol, it spills everywhere XD

you can try level 3, or wait till I upload level 4 ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xRealitySandwichx In reply to chioky [2008-11-30 22:31:54 +0000 UTC]

How many levels are there? After using my overly-complicated method on like, 4 swords, one of them done twice, i think i can handle more XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chioky In reply to xRealitySandwichx [2008-11-30 23:02:22 +0000 UTC]

in total? 5, 1 being the easiest and 5 being the hardest
