Description
[Edit] Important for non-SAI users:The equivalent to SAI's layer blend mode "Luminosity" is "Linear Dodge" in Photoshop and "Addition" in Gimp.
Soo I drew a magic effect out of boredom, and thought, why not make a quick tutorial for it.
I drew the effect with a tablet, but it should work with a mouse as well. Everything is hand-drawn, no tools such as special brushes used.
I tried to keep the tutorial simple and easy to understand, but sorry if it's a little messy.
I hope my handwriting is readable.
Thanks to CommanderJackshit for letting me use his picture for the tutorial.

You can buy it here: www.systemax.jp/en/sai/
Or google it and get it elsewhere.

Wow, very nice. I just bought a tablet, and your tuto will help me a lot. The only problem is Paint Tool SAI isn't free. :s

Yeah.. I'm not sure if other programs have that luminosity option, maybe with a different name. You could try checking out Gimp's layer modes (or whichever free program you'd use), maybe it has something similar.
I'm glad if it helps anyway.
