Description
I've decided to put together a sort of idea of what a Navy uniform would look like in the Chaos Chronicles. The T2 uniform is a casual duty uniform which has a sort of has a bit of comfort associated with it rather than a professional look. Type I uniforms are the more proper looking service uniforms that more resembles a tunic which you see several important Navy characters wearing.

On a bridge crew, the usage of the T2 NDU is completely dependent on how the CO feels about it. He or she may choose to eschew it entirely and have the crew present themselves in T1 NDUs.

Departments can be determined by looking at the detail on the side of the sleeve that is color coded to the location of employment.

RED - Command Staff
YELLOW - Engineering & Maintenance Staff
BLUE - Security Staff
WHITE - Medical Staff
BLACK - Navy Combat Units
GREY - Naval Aviation Units
GREEN - Logistical Staff

Marine Corps units maintain their own BDU system separate from Naval units that can be classified in Type I BDUs and Type II BDUs as well as a 'Type III' designating armor.
