Description
A simple wallpaper.I haven't done any space artworks recently so this one was quite fun to do i think.
I still like the genre, and if i'll ever buy prints they'll definitely be about space.
To me space art of all genres has the most aesthetic value and beauty. Unfortunately most of the great old-school space artists aren't active anymore, so you usually see crappy pieces like this one.

Very nice, I like how you have stuck with a cold set of colours, there is also a lot of contrast in this which i find very appealing to the eye. I also like your sense of perspective.

This is awesome. I'm afriad of using it as a background for my desktop in fear that the program icons would ruin it DX

What's that in the distance, a wormhole, or a distant star?

Well the light source are two stars but what's happening to them is unknown, an anomaly probably.

the nebula is definitely amazing. I do think our current space artists can keep up with the quality of the oldschool artworks though.

Thanks
Some can, but it was better several years ago. And there are just too many bad space artists now, space art isn't as rare as it was but the overall quality dropped

well with the huge amount of tutorials and resources which is offered here that is not very surprising and even the oldschool artists once were beginners.
You should see the good side of it; without new people the space art scene would be dying completely because obviously almost all the advanced artists move on to other genres since there's not really much to explore in this category.

Yeah i can see there will be a positive effect in the long run, but for now it's still in its infancy.
it just kinda feels like all the veterans died at the same time but in their stead we got lots of beginners.

I really like the colors and overall composition. However, maybe it would have been better to make the big planet's lighting a little more dramatic? O_o Looks very nice though!
