A simple wallpaper.I haven't done any space artworks recently so this one was quite fun to do i think.
I still like the genre, and if i'll ever buy prints they'll definitely be about space.
To me space art of all genres has the most aesthetic value and beauty. Unfortunately most of the great old-school space artists aren't active anymore, so you usually see crappy pieces like this one.

hey chris, indeed long time no spaceart from you, still, i love the things you've done out of spaceart.
can't write a fancy critique but i'll try to give my best with a comment:
this looks odd compared to what you normally do, the composition still cool but somethings really going off, sutch as the "light" efect on the uper right corner, dono doesn't see at the right spt when i think about the light source.
other thing is the horizontal light wave witch i would say comes from the shiny celestial corp that's glowing, that combined with the "espansive clouds" efect also looks odd, since imo the area with the clouds woud cover the light wave, since in teory the wave is circular, and we se the half circle from the backside of the clestial corp.
other than that i have no point outs.
sorry for any grmatical issue and my lack of "apaceart"/efects vocabulary

that light effect in the upper right corner is part of the lens flare, but yeah i see your point on the clouds and other stuff.

Yeah, I used one texture for the big planet to save some time, the rest is brushwork.

A gloomy yet highly calming atmosphere really gives the piece a bit more personality. I love the solitary light source still trying to burn brightly in the cold depths of space looks great. Nice job.
