Description
Forgive the poor photo. I still have the hardest time shooting my paintings. This was the best one in terms of color, clarity and contrast ..but unfortunately it was also crooked. Β Sigh. Β Anyways, this was a really fun one and came out close to how I pictured it in my head, so that's always nice.Oils on masonite.

This is beautiful. Needs to be in a collection and is what the last Spiderman movie should have looked like. Absolutely gorgeous rendering of my favorite character and his nemesis.

very nice work!
If you have photoshop u can use skew (edit-transform-skew) to line up your photos (after unlocking your layer) .

Awesome painting! How are you shooting the photo though? If you have a DSLR, keeping the lens at 50mm will prevent any sort of distortion, and taking it as perfectly above as possible logically helps. I usually do this and still have to crop it down slightly, so it is a bit tricky. If you have a camera with a good amount of megapixels, I would just go with the crop method.

DSLR? 50mm? Heh, yeah that's over my head. I just have a little digital Canon Powershot. 14 megapixel. The front of the camera says "5.0-20.0mm. Is that no good then? I don't have any idea if that's good or not. I have some straight shots and even a scan, but none of them looked right color and contrast wise. Even after some adjustments in PS. I used this shot because it's the closest to the original for some reason.

Oh, thats fine...just keep trying different stuff, but never go into the digital zoom range. I forget what the conversion is, but zoomed all the way out for you will be wide angle and you want to avoid that since it will give sort of a fisheye effect. Best way to find where you want to be is to take shots at different zooms and see what bends the edges of your canvas, then adjust accordingly. Good luck, but good work in the meantime regardless!
