I'm finished with the speedpaint I've been working on recently.I guess it's a bit less speedy than my last one, but not by too much, and I think I've been able to increase the level of detail and scope of the piece.
This one took about 6.5 hours, not including the time to make a basic sketch. That's a LOT faster than my longer pieces.

The minimalist colour really makes the blue eyes shine, there's a great balance on the level of detail, and the linework is smooth and pretty. I...am not an artist and I think I made half those words up, but this still looks very good! Great job, two thumbs, keep it up!

I'm glad that you like the level of detail. I know it doesn't have as much as the pieces I spend longer on, but I'm trying to use the details effectively in these speedpaints.

The little ones were a fun thing to include, here.
That's one of the reasons why I like putting people in these pieces. It makes the pieces easier to relate to, and helps strengthen the sense of scale.
So far, I think these have been a great way to practice.

That's my goal. To make something complete in a shorter amount of time, and then refine that process.
If I can learn to use detail better, and work more efficiently, this should be a great way to practice and improve my art.
