Description
This is the 'unfinished' version of this piece I did a while back... BUT I actually like it better than the finished version (I overworked the finished version). I wanted to go in and do more 'values' on the reds, but screw it, I like it better like this!

I really like this take on Elektra - Its real nice, very original and a welcome departure from her vanilla design.
Did you ever have any trouble with drawing women? I find them exceedingly more difficault to draw than men D:

yup! I do have a bit more of a hard time drawing Women then Dudes... drawing women is more about 'feel' I think... men are more technical, since there is much more musculature exposed and the structure is 'blockier'. Women are mostly about curves and rhythm... I mean, anatomy still applies, but they are much more about silhouette and curves.

Yeah, I know what you mean man - It's so hard to get that balance right. Not adding in too much to make them look too bulky but then not adding enough and making them look flat and 2D. It's by far the hardest thing to draw i feel... Well, Women or cars...

when it's all said and done, you have to draw what you are attracted to (or afraid of)... if you draw someone who's supposed to be the cool hero, you'll base it on what You think is cool, handsome, etc etc... AND if you have to draw an attractive girl, the same applies... if you like a certain actress or model, look at her features... what is it about her that makes her attractive to you... (and of course, couple this with more constructive drawing skills).
I have the great fortune of drawing next to Michael Lopez every day, and that guy does some of the sexiest girls I know, so I am constantly picking his brain regarding that.
