Hey! I found my old SD card that had Youmacon 2008 pictures on it! Not many of the pictures survived though.Anyway, this is me as Cpl. Adrian Shepherd of the HECU (Hazardous Environment Combat Unit) of Half Life. The HECU were the marines sent in to 'clean up' the Black Mesa Incident. Cpl. Shepherd was the player character for Half Life: Opposing Force, an expansion to the original Half Life.
I made the vest and that beautiful M4 carbine with M203 grenade launcher. There's an unfinished, unpainted photo in my gallery.

Opposing Force was one of my number one games, above Gordon Freeman's Half Life. How many people still remember that the barnacle was a usable weapon as well as lassoing oneself up using its grappling tongue?
I always said that Valve missed out a major story by leaving out Cpl Shepherd, but was called a crazed fanboy as a result.

The mask is the M40, standard issue for both the US Army and the US Marine Corp.
If you're trying to buy one and you'd like it to be black, you'll have to buy a rubber skin that covers the mask (which is actually green).
