I don't think their pose is agressive at all; if anything, I think the man in the hat is about to hug the other. He looks as if he were about to cry; perhaps they've lost someone special to the disease and are at the campaign in their honor?
Either way, it's an emotionally beautiful picture.

it almost looks like the man on the left is saying, "hey, you talkin' to me," with the cigarette and all--and the woman in the background is going, "whoa! calm down guys!" or...
there's a very intimate moment happening between the two men, and the woman is saying, "whoa, i don't want to be in this picture, haha!"
