Description This is the third and last part of my sculpting tutorial, so I really hope the three parts could help some of you and were fun to watch even for those who aren't sculptors. Maybe I'll make more tutorials on different aspects of sculpting in the future, but as for now this is it.
So, hope you like it!

It's all cool but last question: After you are done with sculpture... What to do next? Bake it, boil it? It's something like fimo?

You make joining clay pieces seamlessly without deforming the piece look easy! Then you make joining seamed pieces without them falling off look .... possible! Magic. Skill and magic.

That's what you learn at Hogwarts.
Naah, lots of practice is all it takes.

So that's what Hogwarts is like! Well, wizard or not, you do some amazing work. Love it.

Great tutorial, but how do you attach those separate parts you make without ruining them? When I make the parts separately and try to attach them together they sort of deform and attach really flimsily.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ClayPita In reply to brainspewage [2013-05-01 12:50:49 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's possible, you just have to be very careful how and where you touch the pieces. Or maybe the material you use just isn't good for this sort of sculpting, in that case you should try something else.

brainspewage In reply to ClayPita [2013-05-01 23:56:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the advice, I use fimo clay and I think I just get nervous to the point that I melt the parts in fingers.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ClayPita In reply to brainspewage [2013-05-06 20:42:38 +0000 UTC]

I used to work with Fimo but I hated it because it is so unflexible and not very suited for sculpting in my opinion. Maybe that doesn't go for all kinds of Fimo, but I'm still glad I have a much better material now.

WOW. Die Modelle, die du baust, sind richtig cool.

Aber für mich sehen die Figuren etwas klein aus, so zwischen 2 und 3 cm. Wie groß sind die in Wirklichkeit?

ClayPita In reply to ratkisser [2013-05-01 12:52:50 +0000 UTC]

Bei den Collagen, die ich hochlade, steht in der Beschreibung immer die Grâße drin, wenn du dir ein paar ansiehst, kriegst du ungefÀhr 'ne Vorstellung, wie groß meine Skulpturen sind.
