Description
The old bird, Chirp, hangs out while the sun warms him. It won't be long before he's raising another brood of chicks. That will be number five, since I've known him. He's the most prolific cardinal in all of Kansas, and has won me a DD to boot. I keep him well fed, most of the time.Related content

Wow, he will have raised five families by the time he has another this year? Impressive. I honestly didn't think birds could have that many. Then again, I have no clue how long most birds even live. I've just never really given much thought about these things. I really should because it is fascinating stuff.
He really is quite an interesting bird. I love this shot of him, too.

He looks a little tired, he almost has a "bedhead" look to him!
