We are all a little mad in here....
I love the details on this: the Hatter's patchwork outfit, the blood (presumably Alice's own) dripping from the black rose, the playing-card staircase spiraling off to infinity, even the suit symbols doubling as windows to different places.

Hm, I had thought of what you called blood as paint (you know, painting the roses red), but I do believe blood fits better with the darkness of the rest of the piece, so we'll go with your version.

It looked to me like she had pricked her thumb on a thorn, perhaps deliberately, and then let the blood run down.
I'm glad you like my interpretation; as a poet, it's always a treat for me when someone points out an association that I hadn't realized was hiding in there.

Oh I love it! All these little details must have taken you forever! I love Alice' clothes and her expression. It reminds me a little bit on the video game my sister was once playing - something about a grown up Alice that returns to wonderland to rescue it.

American McGee's Alice? Yeah, I've heard of it and seen art from it, but that's my only exposure to it. I don't play videogames, it's against my religion. (Kidding on the last bit.)
