I coloured it! This is my entry for the ~Ginny-Rocks contest.
"Right," said Ginny, tossing her long red hair out of her face and glaring at Ron, "let's get this straight once and for all. It is none of your business who I go out with or what I do with them, Ron --"
"Yeah, it is!" said Ron, just as angrily. "D'you think I want people saying my sister's a --"
"A what?" shouted Ginny, drawing her wand. "A what, exactly?"
"He doesn't mean anything, Ginny --" said Harry automatically, though the monster was roaring its approval of Ron's words.
"Oh yes he does!" she said, flaring up at Harry. "Just because he's never snogged anyone in his life, just because the best kiss he's ever had is from our Auntie Muriel --"
"Shut your mouth!" bellowed Ron, bypassing red and turning maroon.

Thanks to *WolfenMoondaughter's suggestions, I fixed a few shadow issues; I also changed a few minor things around. Oh, and I coloured a part I'd forgotten to colour!

The detail on this picture is truly amazing! All the textures are realistic, from the robes, to the wall behind them, and everything in between! Their figures aren't too stiff, and everything seems to fit. All in all, this is a beautiful picture!

There's quite a lot I find wrong with this piece now, but I did it about two years ago and I like to focus on how I've improved.

I'm not too learned in the field of art so much yet, so the only things that bothered me were Harry's posture is a bit stiff, and Ron's neck seems a bit long. But other than that, it looks really well put together!
But yes, looking back is always fun, hahah.

Ron strikes me as a long-necked sort of guy... it just adds to his gangly awkwardness. I might've overdone it a bit, though. But you're right about the stiffness of Harry's posture... and they've all got some small anatomical weirdities going on. Ginny in particular.

This is pretty good, but could have been greatly improved by harry facing the audience rather then the wall. Still, nice job. ^_^

I'd seen it drawn that way by other artists and wanted to try something both different and more challenging. I have trouble with making scenes far too linear, so I was trying to vary their poses somewhat to keep it from looking too staged and rigid. (I'm not sure how well I pulled it off, though...) I agree, though... I think Harry would look less stupid if I'd chosen a DIFFERENT different angle for him.

Different can be good, what I might have suggested for a piece like this was an over the shoulder shot. The camera placed behind Ron framing harry trying to calm him but also framing Ginny, the focus of the piece. Its always good to play with angles and try different ways to mix things up so its at least very cool that you are trying to be different and break out of monotony.
