Oh god, looking at this, I seem like an insane Near fangirl lol.

The reason I go back three months into 08 is because that was when I started organizing my art folder by month and year (Dec 09, Nov 08, etc,) so I thought, why not?

One of the things I notice is how my older drawings are a lot more sketchier. It was rather sweet and charming but I suppose it isn't good for a polished drawing (especially for comics). I think my lines got a hell of lot more defined when I started working on my doujin for the International Death Note Anthology.

From January to February, I barely drew because my dog had 8 puppies and she wasn't a very responsible mother, so I had to help them to eat and go to the bathroom and keep them warm during the winter months. Crazy shit, especially the first week. Good god. They were such a large part of my schedule until about June when we only had two left (Both spayed |3 ). But yeah, I digress ahahaha.

I experimented a lot this year and started tackling areas I had problems with like coloring, eyes, paneling and drawing hands. I obviously have a lot more to do of course. One big area I need to work on for sure is value variation. I keep trying to do it but I keep chickening out which is plain DUMB, fffffffff.

As time went by I notice that my folders have more and more pictures. I think this is because my drawing speed has increased.

August onward, I feel like my style's really starting to solidify. I've also devoted more time to practicing my gesture and speed and studying anatomy. *pets folder of naked people and images plucked from medical sites*

Now compare this to the images from my scrapbook from two art classes ago ([link] ) which are ANCIEEEENNNTTT (I can't bring myself to delete them even if they're subpar cause they're a part of me, y'know?). I've improved so much. ;_;
