Description
This is to commemorate the end of Death Note according to the manga timeline. And yes, that is older Near.Coloring is still so difficult for me because I have such a hard time being bold, and have to start over and over again but then I realized that bold color just doesn't go well with a drawing like this. (Well, it probably could but it'd have to pulled off in the hands of a better talented person with color.)
But, I love Near's soft, peach face.
I don't submit a lot to DA cause I always feel sooo bad for not replying ;___;

Thanks. I guess I'm dissatisfied because I admire the way these other artists color and their powerful use of color. I just need to get cozy with my own style and develop it instead of struggling to emulate what I admire.

Nothing like music to inspire drawing! Much as I despise songfics, somehow listening to the right music goes a long way in helping really feel the story or picture while creating it.
well if it's something you want to explore, I'm far from discouraging you, lol. you do have a really distinctive style that i love, but it's really fun to branch out as well.

Aww I'm gonna miss Death Note, I finished the manga and the anime already but this just makes me want to watch/read it all over again...And Mello died on January 26th too so that makes this all the more sad! TT-TT
And quit worrying, I think the coloring turned out fine but if you believe it could have been better then I believe it can be better too!You have so much unleashed potential, I may have not commented on all your work but that doesn't mean I don't love it any less...
To be honest, I think you're amazing!Even better is you like one of my most cherished Death Note pairings^^
so if you believe in yourself and continue to practice then I truly believe you will improve and lol try expirementing with coloring cause then you might find a certain way the suits you
