79. Disease - All right, I won't be lazy; I'll explain it this time.
There is no such thing as a person who can only do good or only do bad. Every human being has in them the potential to do wonderful and terrible things. Light, a young man who billed himself as "a serious, straight-A student... a model teenager" fell prey to his ambitions and the power of the Death Note. Light was a bright student full of potential only to have that potential wasted on a goal that was inevitably doomed to failure. He was so consumed by his own goal that he tore apart his family, abandoned his humanity, and eventually destroyed himself. His potential to become a dark person is the disease. As the series went by the disease got worse and worse. This particular drawing tries to give form to this idea.
