This awesome artist is also one of the few that still draws Monster fanart regularly~ and sadly Pixiv overall doesn't have much Monster fanart.

Grimmer/Tenma is awesome and seriously adorable! I love how they almost look like a married couple when they're together. It makes me HGNHHHH and they are so sweet. Not gonna lie, I was actually kinda rooting for Eva and Tenma to make up, but the Martin episode dampened that a bit because it made me realize that it probably wasn't gonna work out. They had both changed too much.

Oh, I know! They are precious. That's really why I support them. They have great chemistry too. I completely agree with your comment, all the characters changed significantly by the end. Now that you mention Martin/Eva, I'd have to say that made a lot more of an emotional impact on me. Their relationship was tragic and beautiful.

I agree, definitely! I love how instantly they got along. Grimmer is kind and gentle to to a weary Tenma. He's very careful with his words and knows just what to say. And Tenma is patient and understanding with Grimmer. They compliment each other well.

Ohh yes, I cried during that episode. I always got excited when Eva appeared because I knew it was gonna involving and emotional episode.

I perfectly agree. Their personalities compliment each other so well! I don't usually grow so attached to shippings like this, I'm not a person who's strictly canon or anything, but at the same time I don't ship things unless they make sense, and frankly I just can't see Grimmer or Tenma with anyone else but each other.

Ahah, me too! I love Eva. I plan to cosplay her someday. Her episodes were always so intense and rich with emotion. I wish that her and Martin would have had a happier end but I doubt it would have been as powerful as they had.

I don't know if you support femslash, but am I the only one who sees potential in Ana/Lotte? Their friendship was so adorable...especially when Ana defended her at the party.

Exactly my thoughts! Likewise with any other sort of shipping, I can't just ship two characters because I find it aesthetically appealing...there has to be some sort of connection. Grimmer and Tenma are basically perfect to me in that sense.

I'll be using a wig, my natural hair is a much darker colour. My friend will be cosplaying Anna with me. We also plan to cosplay Tenma and Johan someday as well. I agree, I really hope so too. It saddens me when the fandom belittles her development, too, and only sees her as the snobby rich girl that she was in the beginning of the serious. She's so much more than that.

Yeah, I agree. I just love the friendship they've formed and I love their interaction. They are adorable. Personally, I'm not a fan of Karl either...especially not after all that happened with him and Lotte.

Hmm the way I see it when Eva gets hated on, I think the people who do that don't understand her yet. lol I remember when I was in 6th grade I absolutely hated Relena and Wufei from Gundam Wing. Hahaha, but looking back on it they were both probably one of the more interesting characters from that show for sure.

To be quite honest, I don't really know anyone that likes it irl. My friend jumped on the chance to cosplay Johan because he interests her, and she knows of Monster briefly, but it's more of a single character fascination. Likewise with how she's going to cosplay Anna. I don't mind, though, we always cosplay in pair...so it's good to have at least a little matching group. I wish I knew people who really loved Naoki Urasawa in general like I do irl. /sorry for mini rant

Time for a Change by deecherrywolf - ([link] ) - Tenma returns from his time with Doctors Without Borders to watch after Johan. Adult and takes place post-series Has a little bit of Tenma/Nina too.

Worse Than Death by futotta neko - ([link] ) - Tenma faints in the library at the end of Munich arc. He wakes up to " find himself completely at the mercy of the monster he had been hunting."
This one sold me on the pairing. A very fantastic fic that demonstrates the push and pull between Tenma and Johan. Sadly though, it it not finished but I highly recommend reading it anyway. Adult and takes place during the series after the Munich arc

House Call by Tsukiori - ([link] ) - A certain meddling doctor thinks that even would be Anti-Christs need the occasional checkup. Johan/Tenma, Alluded Tenma/Lunge. This is my personal favorite. Takes place post-series.

Happiness by Tsukiori - ([link] ) - Drunk Johan and fluffy in a plausible way. It's not explained how but in this fic but they seem to be living together. Post-series?
