did a double take on the moon image. for a moment, I though you were doing homage to "Time Machine." Naw, over active imagination.

The remake, in places, was better. In any case, I was referring to the shattered moon, in both and the novel.

drama?!
from "camp noir", to road trip, to thriller, to tearjerker.
Don't know how you're pulling it off. This strip should be laughably ridiculous, but it isn't.

The way you are able to convey so much emotion with relatively simple features and expressions is wonderful.
Have you ever considered working on storyboards? I've seen a great deal of professional work in that field that doesnt express itself half as well as this.

Thank you so much! I've considered work in storyboards but I have no professional training in that field or any degrees in art. The pay would be pretty decent, though.

You're welcome. Just telling it like it is.
It doesn't look like you need any training to me! Many people doing it havn't had any. It's just a question of bugging the right people and putting your work out there until you get lucky.

Fantastic job. Once again, you've effortlessly weaved humor into the story ("The Third World Guide to Cooking Tree Bark" is the best name for a book ever), but still managed to handle the emotional pain the situation causes well. Truly incredible work here.

Now I can't stop picturing a Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett book named after preparing tree material.

Remember the counting pines? That is hands-down the best fictional portrayal of tree bark ever. ...I can't believe that is a thing.
