Thank you so much!  I'm always trying to find a balance between humor and drama in my stories, like I did in "Opey the Warhead".

The only theme park where you need a radiation suit to get in.  Well, outside of Chernobyl.

Never would have thought of Chernobyl as a theme park... XD

I'd say that green isn't a very creative color, but I don't think Chernobyl is very green right now

Actually, there is plenty of green and life in the radioactive zone, only in the worst area's is it barren. In fact, it's turned into a refuge for some endangered species because humans won't go there.

I guess nuclear fallout was the best thing that happened to Chernobyl...

Ok, maybe not XD

There's a book like that ? Where did they even find it?

And sadness envelops my heart as I see that picture.

It's a best seller in the post-apocalypse.

I'm glad to hear that my story is having an emotional impact.  Thank you.

It's amazing Keep it up! There should have been a book called how to survive a zombie apocalypse for dummies.

There have actually been six editions of the book.  This one is an older copy.

Love your drawing ability but now I am really starting to appreciate your ability to tell a story.

Thank you, Gil!  I'm a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin films and I loved how he was able to balance his stories between humor and drama.  That's what I'm striving to do with "The Quacking Dead".

Is that a reflection off the picture?

cluedog In reply to Saklad [2014-06-24 23:44:08 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, it is.

Saklad In reply to cluedog [2014-06-24 23:48:22 +0000 UTC]

Why is the reflection lopsided?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cluedog In reply to Saklad [2014-06-24 23:52:22 +0000 UTC]

Because I screwed up.

Now that you mention it, I don't think it should be.

Saklad In reply to cluedog [2014-06-24 23:54:32 +0000 UTC]

Easy mistake to make, and the only one so far. By the way, now you know that we tell you if there is a problem, rather than not mention it.

What a really well depicted, and emotion sequence, I think this is more impactful in this cartoonish style, than if you were drawing in your realistic style, this carries the emotional weight much better.

cluedog In reply to LarryKingUndead [2014-06-24 23:43:57 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, Larry.  I do believe you're right about the style.  I find myself able to work more freely when drawing in this style and still able to convey the story I want to create.

LarryKingUndead In reply to cluedog [2014-06-24 23:57:20 +0000 UTC]

Well I really hope you continue to keep this style up, I really love what you did.
