I really like how you framed this one and added your signature.

i should take the time to add my signature on every photograph but
never do -
i was playing with layers and tints so adding the amber color at the bottom was as much a design feature as a sig
are you using a special frame software ? some of your work has frames i'd love to use myself

I use PhotoStudio, it's the program that came with my camera (Canon). And I'm also learning to use Corel Paint Shop Pro X. I use both for the framing. There is so much to learn and I only understand a teen weeny bit.

my question is what catagory do you put your work in when you enhance the image using your camera's software package ?
some say more than a tiny tweak the work should go into photo-manip, a digital art catagory rather than photography
i was wondering what you thought about that

I have always put mine under Photography. I have never been told to do otherwise. Maybe I should be, but I look at others that seem to do a lot of adjustments with layers etc. with a RAW file and theirs are under photography. I don't do to much tweaking. I use the 'Clarify' feature in Paint Shop but a very low adjustment and in PhotoStudio I sometimes make a small adjustment with either 'Brightness, Contrast or Saturation'. Other than that I just use a frame to enhance the photo which to me isn't any different than putting it in a mat and a real frame. I always look at the original compared to the adjusted one as I try not to have it come out overdone. I have read a few debates lately on the subject and I am not sure what the answer is. I do think if you are taking multiple photos and making your own creation then that should be under photo-manip. Is doing some adjusting in a digital program any different than adjustments in the darkroom? I don't think I know enough about photography to make that decision. So for now I will still put mine under Photography until I am told otherwise. Not sure if this is any help. What kind of adjustments are you doing to call your work digital? Is there a difference between photo-manip and digital?

i do what you do -
when i combine images i put the final result under photo-manip, which is a digital art classification
when i adjust contrast, add a frame or signature i put it under photography just wanted to see if i was going along with the majority and, on this at least, it seems i am
many thanks for your input
