Description
Because knowledge is power, dammit! He works even when he's supposed to be relaxing. Ah well, at least Velox is there to help, even if she doesn't comprehend the algorithms or diagrams on that scroll there. She's moral support!
Anyhow, more fun with mahrk3rs. I still have much to learn.

Excellent work on this piece. I really like the detailing and colouring, especially on Velox (the markings are beautiful) and I like the background.

Thanks! I struggled big time with this one, trying to get the shading down. I have so much to learn.

To be honest I'm surprised to hear that as I do feel you did an excellent job on it. However in turn I do agree that shading can be a right pain at times.

Thanks. I hoped he would come off as a little polished.

Ooo...those abs though...clearly you absorb more mental powers without your shirt on! lol *stares and drools* Your anatomy skills keep getting better and better, that's a challenging pose to draw accurately and you've done a great job. I love how dynamic it is- with the curving twist of the parchment and the pose of Velox's wings as if she's about to take flight. Great piece.

Heehee! Thanks. I love the male form, what can I say? It doesn't get near enough love (compared to the ladies, I mean... so much T&A, DA, so much T&A...)
Vel, ha, yeah. I figured, perched as she is on that plush fur, that she'd need to stabilize herself somewhat while peering at all that strangeness.

Oh my, lol, clearly the best type of learning is done while lounging semi-dressed in some comfy cushion-strewn room. Velox is faaar too adorable, her eyelashy eyelashes are just the cutest. Fantastic composition, I like how the scroll looks angular in its curliness (if that made sense!)
Yes yes, all those algorithms make so much sense to me

*Velox preens*
I am not comfortable drawing birds, so thank you. This was some much needed practice. On several levels, actually. From mucking my way through the shading and blending process, to the pose and composition.

Much pretty
Their legs are tricky to me! I think it's a fantastic pic, and has some nice colours too, I do like the way you used the grey and gold-like skin tones

xD I was so excited when I saw this. Can't have enough art of Naomhin. I like that character a lot for some reason. His robe/coat looks epic. My only criticism with this pic is why the dimensions are so triple digits? >:[ High resolution pls.

Heh... I had not noticed. The page that I worked on was pretty small to begin with. I'll see if I can increase the size for your own amusement... although the smaller size does better hide my mistakes...
