Description
Wanted to do a different take on these guys, a touch more overtly menacing. As with many things, I might end up using this for some odd personal project

I'm sorry, it's just that thing is way off from the classic kappa description. Just how do you get that from an anthropomorphic turtle?

Heh well I always like to think of the descriptions we have of mythological beasts are the re-re-re-re-retellings of what folks back in the day thought they say. Maybe they thought they saw a short turtle guy with a cup on his head... like maybe, just maybe.. they didn't see those clawed legs that were sunken beneath the water's surface... or that it was a dark night and the spines on its back blended in with the willows along the river. The beak which they thought was like a turtle's was actually a smooth, forward nodule of its cranium, and below that visor-like structure sat rows of jagged teeth.
You can create any narrative and create any beastie to justify said story
