I was debating between going for something like this or a 3/4 side view, but laziness won out so I went for this POV since I knew I could use the symmetry brush 🙂

I usually use just vertical or horizontal mirroring but tested out the quadrant symmetry and found that it really bogged down my computer a lot, tossed that out and went back to regular vertical painting. I had time to work in a bit more detail than if I hadn't used the symmetry feature, which was nice because of how fast spitpaints can slip away from you.

The main design element I wanted to incorporate was giving the Sun Lord a kind of headpiece and then a ring of sun/fire encircling his face. Basic gradients and some light painting filled up a majority of the coloring, very simple and straight forward, using blending modes to help incorporate features into one another.
