I had this other idea for the theme, completely different but I'm just a bit too tired to really give it an honest go so I might try it out later. For this I wanted to have something simpler to bring focus entirely on the character and the action, which works if you're under a tight deadline.

I should have put more into a cast shadow I think, like the blast is so bright that even though there's that red tint blooming through I think the brightness of the blast would be blocked out at least a little. Ah well. So yeah, always bring a spare shield with you because you never know when you'll lose one to an arcane bolt
