Blank: dustbunnythumper.deviantart.co…This year I really wanted to focus on form and anatomy, making characters look more natural and flowing. I especially wanted to work on characters interacting with each other. I also put focus digital art and improving my line work and coloring.

I was still on my janky old computer at this point. I was still trying to figure out digital inking so the line work looks sketchy. Star and Marco look a little off as I wasn't too familiar with the show's style yet.

This is probably one of my favorite drawings ever! It was an idea I've had for a long time but never had the confidence to attempt. Then gave the perfect contest for me to try it out. I think it turned out really good in the end. I have to admit the background isn't great. Practicing backgrounds and inanimate objects are going to be a goal of mine this year. But all the characters and expressions turned out the way I wanted them and this was a real learning experience for me.

I tried to make a drawing a day in March for a March of the Mascots thing I was doing. I quickly ran out of steam on it, both from the effort needed and the fact that it wasn't as popular as I'd hope. I might do something similar this March. I was actually really happy with this Sonic. His pose has a lot of weight and motion to it. The colors aren't bad either.

This comic has become one of my popular works here on DA. Never underestimate the power of "the feels." That said, I do really like the brush and shading I used. Also, the success of this comic makes me want to do more comics more and works focused on story and character.

Really great image to end the year on. I feel it shows how much I've improved. Good form, good weight, good line, great expressions, okay color and background.
