Allen was well into his 90s. When he first heard rumors that a nearby haunted house could restore a person's youth, he did not believe them. Even so he knew his time remaining was limited so he had nothing left to lose.

The house did not seem like anything out of the ordinary. The place looked like it had been cleaned regularly despite the fact no one had lived there in years. Then Allen discovered the door to the garden. It creaked eerily as he opened it and went inside.

There, underneath one of the stone benches, was an ancient looking doll. The doll beaconed to him. He approached first cautiously and then eagerly throwing all caution to the wind.

As soon as he picked up the doll, the transformation began. He could feel it throughout his entire body. Although there were some unwanted side effects, Allen did not mind. He had the restored youth he desired.

Days later, a young girl named Alice was discovered clutching a doll tightly in her arms. She knew what happened to Allen but she would never tell.
